Ruben Davidman has been involved in numerous community endeavors since making aliyah in 1971. At that time, he and his wife and children moved to Beer Sheva, where he served as the Administrator of Bnei Akiva Yeshiva. In 1974 he became Director of Seminars for Yeshiva Principals and teachers within the Jewish Agency and moved to Jerusalem. In 1976, he founded the Young Israel Movement in Israel and served as President and Treasurer. In recent years, Ruby has been instrumental in rejuvenating Bet Knesset HaNasi, the Young Israel of Rehavia. He was also involved in bringing 113 sifrei Torah to army camps and posts all over Israel.

in 1985, Ruby visited Ruissia on behalf of the Foriegn Ministry to learn about Glasnost. In 1999 he became a Member of the Zionist Executive where he represents the World Conference of Orthodox Synagogues and Communities.

A graduate of Yeshiva University, with a Master's degree in Education from Hunter College, Ruby is a member of the Board of YU Alumni in Israel.
