Rany Trainin is the Acting Deputy Chairperson of the Executive. He is also the Head of the Yoav Regional Council and Chairman of the Economics Committee of Israeli Mayors.

He is a member of Kibbutz Beit Nir, at which he has acted as economic manager and treasurer.  He has also been managing director of a major fruit juice production facility. 

Rany Trainin is a member of the board of Meretz and a former member of the board of the Kibbutz Artzi Federation.  He served in the IDF as a paratrooper, reaching the rank of lieutenant colonel (reserve).

A member of the Jewish Agency’s Board of Governors since October 2002, he served in the past as the Chairman of the Information Technology Committee and as the Co-Chair of the Israel Committee.
