REPORT ON ALIYAH FOR JANUARY-SEPTEMBER 2007 – HIGHLIGHTS
This analysis refers to all individuals arriving in Israel including olim (those who arrived with the status of oleh and those who arrived originally as tourists and later changed their status) and Israelis who were handled by the aliyah emissaries (returning minors, returning citizens [born to Israeli parents abroad], returning residents [who left Israel and married abroad] and citizens who are minors).
The number of immigrants to Israel during the period January-September 2007 through the Jewish Agency was 14,153 - a 10% decrease in comparison to the same period in 2006. Of those, 12,883 were olim (including olim who arrived on oleh status and those who arrived as tourists and later changed their status), the remainder were Israelis processed by aliyah emissaries.
