EXPO 2008 Olim Artists Exhibition

The artists.

Last night, I attended the EXPO 2008 Olim Artists Exhibition, marking 60 years of the State of Israel. The exhibition, sponsored in part by the Jewish Agency for Israel, features the work of over 30 artists who made Aliyah in the past 40 years from Russia, South America, Ethiopia, England, France, South Africa, the US, and more.

Several hundred people filled the Jerusalem Theater to view the works of art, meet the artists, and celebrate their creativity. My friend and our neighbor (on HaNahalim), Leiba Solar, was one of the featured artists.

The exhibition is open to the public and runs until October 12th.
