"At Home - Together" - A Joint Program for Olim and Veteran Families

Shalom,

The Jewish Agency for Israel, together with the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption and the Union of Local Authorities, are running a new project:

Our goal is to ensure ongoing contact between veteran and olim families, and to assist the absorption process of new families in Israel, by forming social ties that will secure a promising future for the entire society.

We are looking for veteran families who are willing to initiate personal and longstanding ties with olim families. We believe that these friendships will contribute to feelings of belonging for olim families and help them integrate into their new society and country.

The program includes:

  • Organized meetings held once very six to eight weeks for families in each area (trips, picnics, lectures, etc.)
  • Personal meetings held at the request and need of the families (invitations to joint dinners, meeting friends of the other family, etc.)
  • Involvement and acquaintance with life in Israel.
We will be happy to have you join our project!

Contacts between families will be made on the basis of matching interests: hobbies, children's ages, language, etc. Both the olim and veteran families will receive assistance and participate in various enjoyable activities in their area.
