Nike Israel Supports New Immigrant Athletes

July 28, 2008 / 25 Tammuz 5768

The Nike Israel company contributed athletic shoes and sports apparel manufactured by Nike to young new immigrants at the Hadassah Neurim Youth Village.

Hadassah Neurim, one of the Zionist youth villages of the Jewish Agency, places great emphasis on the link between sports and excellence.  The youth village has an excellent program in sport and the institution is known for its unique athletics programs.

The youth village is home to over 500 children at risk and for many of them sports constitutes a professional and personal springboard.  Sport gives these children dreams and aspirations and likewise it reinforces their concentration and learning ability and constitutes a social agent of the very first order.

The Nike Israel company gave the Jewish Agency a generous contribution of sports apparel and athletic shoes, and quite naturally the equipment was passed on to the young men and women in in the youth village in order to maximize the impact of this contribution.  The equipment that the Nike Israel company has turned over is the most up-to-date equipment and is intended for athletes of the top tier.  There is no doubt that this equipment is a perfect fit for these youths.

The Jewish Agency for Israel, together with the young men and women in the Hadassah Neurim Youth Village, would like to express its deepest thanks to the Nike Israel company for its rapid enlistment and for its resilient and fruitful partnership with the Jewish Agency that helps support youth at risk in particular and Israeli society in general.
