Katharina Raub

“Growing up in Germany, for eight years I did not know that I was Jewish. I was shocked when my mother told me that my grandparents escaped Germany during the war and that she was born in Palestine before they all returned to Germany. I came to Israel to connect to my Jewish identity, and I stayed.”

Katharina Raub (20) was born in Bielefeld Germany. When she was eight-years-old her parents divorced and Katharina’s mother told her that she was Jewish. Katharina was shocked. All of her friends were Christian and suddenly Katharina felt different. More
