Kedma Zisano

Kedma Zisano
“I worked with the Jewish Agency’s Ethiopian National Project to advance Ethiopian youth in the tough neighborhoods of Lod. When I see these youth, I realize how lucky I am to have a family that believes in me and a mother that always encouraged education. Financially, I am fortunate that I received a three-year scholarship from the Jewish Agency and I was able to get a higher education.”

Kedma Zisano, 29, was only four months old when her family made aliyah from Addis Ababa. They were one of the firstfamiliestocome to Israel in 1977, before the two major waves of aliyah from Ethiopia on Operations Moshe and Solomon. More
