The following missions have visited the Arad-Tamar region this summer:

July 11 - Northern NJ president's mission: Federation president George Liss presented a special donation of $5,000 to the "Melev Lelev" (Heart to Heart) Sheltered Workshop/Club for the purpose of purchasing 2 bookbinding machines that will employ up to 6 handicapped adults.

July 11 & 12 - 4 members of the Governor of Delaware’s staff visited Arad to search for ways to form partnerships or cultural exchanges in the fields of music and community arts. In addition, about 10 residents from Arad traveled to Jerusalem on July 7 to attend a reception for Governor Thomas R. Carper.

August 9 - Southern NJ family mission: A short visit to the region is planned. The group will meet recent immigrants from the FSU and Ethiopia.
