On February 16, 2001, Kikkar Sdom hosted a delegation from the Ningxia Province in China. Ningxia in China and Kikkar Sdom have many similar characteristics.

The delegation was organized in light of the "Twin City Pact" signed recently following the April 2000 visit of President Jiang Zemin in Israel.

The Chinese delegates visited the fields and hothouses in Kikkar Sdom and were deeply impressed by the agriculture of the Region, the variety of crops and the use of cutting edge technologies. The visits of additional delegations are expected. The goal of the next delegation will be to study more closely the innovations and methods utilized in Israel and examine whether these can be implemented in the Chinese Province.
