The Minister of the Interior, Mr. Chaim Ramon awarded prizes to 103 local municipalities who showed a balanced financial and incentive grant administration.

Minister Ramon noted with great satisfaction that more then 100 local municipal authorities are receiving the prize this year. "In order to encourage other local municipal authorities and emphasize the importance that I attribute to this issue, I have decided to increase the total sum of prizes to 40 Million NIS", said Minister Ramon.

For the first time, Arad and 15 other municipal authorities were awarded an incentive prize for municipal management. This is a certificate of esteem to the municipal authorities that were pioneers in adopting the system of administration by evaluation of actual implementation in order to increase efficiency and upgrade municipal services.
