On patrol, around the clock, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, enhancing security and giving assistance to the residents of Arad and the Tamar Regional Council. The two special security vehicles, donated by the New Jersey-Delaware communities through the United Jewish Communities Israel Emergency Campaign, are manned by a team of policemen, city inspectors and volunteer civil guard, who are on call to serve the public.
Arad Police Chief, Superintendent Amnon Aharonovitch, says: due to the countrywide security situation. the Police Force cannot devote as much resources to community services as it would like to. This he says is where Partnership 2000 rallies to assist.
Jerry After, a former Canadian, has been a volunteer policeman in Arad for the last 25 years. Jerry says that it is vital that the city should feel safe in order that it should prosper.
