Many functionally challenged kids come to the "Nitzan" Arad branch to get help. There are many diverse reasons why these kids find it difficult to function in the classroom or at home - learning disabilities, spelling, English and Math, short concentration span, motor dysfunctions, etc.
The first step is to diagnose the problem so that a focused treatment plan can be formulated for each child. Correct diagnosis and a tailored treatment programs are undoubtedly crucial to the appropriate integration of these children in schools, greatly reducing frustrations and even in some instance preventing their withdrawal from educational frameworks. Generally after one to two years of treatment, the students have acquired the needed tools to handle the disability and are no longer dependent on Nitzan for support.
To our sorrow, because of the difficult economic situation of the past years, many families find themselves unable to cover the costs of diagnosis and treatment at Nitzan. This is where Partnership 2000 has come to our aid, providing diagnosis grants for underprivileged students. Unquestionably, through this support we have been able to assist many students.
Our teachers, who work with great devotion and love, also received assistance and support from "Partnership 2000" to enrich their know-how in many diverse subjects.
For all this assistance you deserve and have our warmest thanks.
