The dynamo that took Arad by storm, made her entrance with a bang!
Beverly Vaughn, a music professor at Stockton College, New Jersey was invited to Arad by Partnership 2000. Beverly, a newcomer to Israel, is a petite ball of energy. She dazzled the students and teachers of the Arad/Tamar schools with her enthusiasm and joy. She taught them gospel hymns and had them dancing in the streets.
The highlight of her visit was her performance given at the Arad Cultural Center. Many tickets were sold and the proceeds were donated to the Scholarship Fund of Arad. Beverly was accompanied by the youth performing group of Arad, drummers from the Democratic School, a jazz vocal group and Yoni and Patrice Reber.
The entire audience joined in to the singing extravaganza and were literally jumping in their seats! The evening was a huge success and Beverly Vaughn was truly touched by the warm, enthusiastic reponse of the crowd. "I’m in tears by the warm welcome of the people of Arad. I’ll be back!!!!"
