Monmouth County - Here We Come!

A group of 13 excited children are off to Monmouth County communities as young good will ambassadors.

They are being welcomed into the gracious homes of families though a home hospitality program. The community of Monmouth County is part of the Partnership 2000 family, which links New Jersey-Delaware to Arad-Tamar.

To our utter delight, the synagogues and its members of Monmouth County, decided to invite the children of Arad-Tamar for a visit and planned an action packed, fun filled two weeks of activities!

The kids, along with their chaperone, Bruce Avishai, a teacher at the Arad Ort High School, are staying with families who have children of similar ages and interests. Most of the participants are attending day camps with the host families' children. In addition, the host families will fill their time with many activities and trips; to New York, Philadelphia and much, much more.

The wonderful children of Arad-Tamar are part of an once-in-a-lifetime experience - to learn first hand about life in our partner communities and to be young ambassadors of Israel.

In preparation for the trip, the group underwent a series of workshops in the relevant subjects of cultural differences and communications. This is the second year of the program and we are confident that this year, as in the past, the children of Arad-Tamar will represent the region with pride!

Through this program, we hope to embrace a reciprocal visit from the children of Monmouth County, so they can experience the wonders of our region and Israel.

We'd like to thank the generous people of Monmouth County for their hospitality and we hope to see you here, in Arad-Tamar in the future. Feel free to visit the Scheck Family Web Site , one of the hosts, and see firsthand how much fun was had by all!
