The children of Arad take part in a city-wide sports extravganza!

A new sports program in Arad has the children of the city excited - the school sports league program - called the "Young League". Due to the generosity of the Young Foundation, the school sports league program has been running for the past few months with much success and excitement. The children of the elementary schools of Arad compete once a week in four different fields of sports. The kids are coached by over 20 high school students. The counselors are supervised by the head coach and coordinator of the program, Mr. Albert Tannenbaum, whose guidance and dedication has contributed greatly to the success of the program. The counselors receive a monthly stipend for their work and involvement in the program.

The students have been competing on a regular basis in different branches of sports, each time playing against a different school. The attendance in this wonderful program has been excellent and the children have thoroughly enjoyed the competition. At the end of the school year trophies will be given to the winners of the Young League with the Mayor of the city presenting the awards at the gala event.

The Young League program is instrumental in developing young leadership, promoting sports among students and developing violence-free surroundings.
