The Jewish People an unbroken chain through five millennium... an unbroken chain around the world.
When an Israeli baby of American-born parents dies at the whim of a sniper, a family mourns in far-off Brooklyn... When a Jewish teen from the former Soviet Union dies in a Tel Aviv bomb blast, tears fall in the Ukraine... When a mother of adult children dies in a drive-by shooting on an Israeli road, her children's friends are devastated wherever they live: in Israel, in the U.S., in Australia...
This "Jewish Chain" letter was started by Voices 2000 of the United Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh to show how we are all linked to Israel and one another, across the world. Voices 2000 is the women's component of Partnership 2000, an innovative program that links communities in Israel with Jewish communities in the Diaspora to establish people-to-people connections. Pittsburgh, PA is linked to Baltimore, MD, and Karmiel and the Misgav region in Israel's Galilee.
Please show your support for the Jewish nation especially at this most difficult time by continuing this chain. It's easy and very meaningful.
Simply send your name and the city and country where you live to the name at the top of this list (and a message, if you like). Then COPY this letter (forwarding it will not work!), omitting the name at the top of the list and adding your name and e-mail address to the bottom. Please send the copied letter to at least six Jewish friends.
If this chain continues, you will hear from many other caring Jews and see firsthand how we are all linked to other Jews in cities and towns across the world.
