CARMIEL SOLDIERS KILLED IN TERROR ATTACKS

Carmiel pays a high price of bloodshed.

Within less that a month the city lost two of its sons, IDF soldiers.

Since the break of El-Aktsa intifada, five of our city residents were killed in terrorist attacks.

And we ask: when will this pain end?

Benny Kikis

Benny Kikis was killed just a few days after celebrating his 20th birthday.

Benny was born in Israel, son of Rita and Uri who made Aliya from the Ukraine to Karmiel on 1979.

Benny was a quiet and loveable, computer expert, graduate of Ort Kramim Karmiel.

Benny joined the army two years and served as a medic.

In the funeral oration his former teacher said: "You are the silver platter on which we are being served the privilege of living here".

May he rest in peace.

Matan Biderman

Matan Biderman was 21 when killed by terrorist attack.

He was born in Israel, son to Itzhak and Ariela, left behind his grieving parents, 2 brothers and many friends.

Matan was among the first graduates of Ort Kramim Karmiel, an excellent student and a social leader.

At his graduate yearbook his friend wrote: "we expect him to be the prime minister of Israel…"

Two weeks before he was killed, during a short vacation from the army, Matan visited his school to express his condolences on the death of Benny Kikis.

In the funeral oration his former school headmaster said: "we tend to say God only takes the best - this time it is really so…".

May he rest in peace.
