The Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI), together with the Association of Latin American Immigrants, City of Karmiel, Misgav Regional Council, ORT Braude College, and Cities of Kiriat Bialik and Nazareth Ilit, organized a solidarity event with the Argentinian Jewish community. The central message of the event was: "Come to the region - your new home is in the Galilee".

In the event participated hundreds of immigrants (old and new) who live in the north of Israel, participants of the "Ulpan Kibbutz" program of the JAFI northern region, participants of "Na'ale 16 Argentina" program, representatives of Association of Latin American Immigrants, Mayors of Karmiel and Kiriat Bialik, Management of JAFI Northern Region, Argentinean artists and citizens from the region willing to assist with the absorption of Olim from Argentina.

The city of Karmiel, as other authorities in the north, are being prepared for the absorption of families from Argentina.
