YAD members ("Partnership 2000), young adults from Karmiel and the Misgav settlements, who had set a goal of developing a social framework in which young people can contribute to society, took part in an activity initiated by the volunteers' section of the Karmiel Social Services and the "Karmiel Center" management, and aided in mobilizing contributions of toys and games for needy families.
The activity took place at the Karmiel Center plaza, adjacent to a stage that was set up in that location. The YAD volunteers continuously manned the toy contribution stand and distributed small gifts (courtesy of Karmiel Center) to those children who came to donate toys and games.
In recent months, the YAD members have been busy mobilizing aid from companies and factories to complete acquisition of equipment for the Karmiel Children's Village and the Eshbal Youth Village. Among the contributions: new clothing and shoes from "HaMashbir Fashion Outlet", 50 computers from The "Safety and Hygiene Institute - Northern Region", office and home furniture from "Finish Teknion", cameras from "Kanar Photo", and other contributions from private people and companies.
Furthermore, YAD has begun activity in cooperation with the Karmiel Social Services volunteers' section. Members of the group hope that, in the future, they will be able to integrate into such a department when its counterpart is established in Misgav.
