On Wednesday, June 30th, a 12-member delegation of Pittsburgh's Young Adult Leadership Division (YAD) visited the Carmiel-Misgav region as part of a Jewish Agency Partnership 2000 sponsored event.

The delegation conducted a tree planting ceremony at the Pittsburgh-Baltimore promenade located in Carmiel's Givat Ram neighborhood and heard about the city from its Press and Public Relations Director, Leviah Fisher.

The group later had an emotional visit with the residents of "Gil's House", a center for individuals with special needs, established in part with funds raised by the Pittsburgh Jewish Community. From there they continued to lunch with representatives from the municipalities and from the local area Partnership 2000 YAD.

The visit concluded with a tour of the Misgav Region led by Deputy Mayor, Baruch Rosen, a visit to the Eshbal Youth Village, and a meeting with Eshchar residents.
