The Israeli YAD group is goining the latest initiative sponsored by the Jewish Agency's "Partnership 2000" program to inaugurate a unique photo exhibit to be presented on the Web aimed at instilling public interest in the demand to release the kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit.
Since the June 25, 2006 terrorist attack at Kerem Shalom, Gilad has been held captive by the Hamas in the Gaza Strip for the past 900 days.

In this campaign, we are requesting from families, schools, delegations, community centers and youth movements, etc, to prepare signs with the message "Gilad is Still Alive", photograph yourselves with your signs and email them to us at yad.shalit@gmail.com no later than December 31, 2008.
The idea is to concentrate as large a number of photographs as possible on a designated website, and produce clips and presentations that will be distributed throughout the Web and sent to leading journalists, politicians and community leaders in the United States, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Europe and Israel in order to stimulate public opinion to promote Gilad's release.
