About Us

Central Galilee

The region bounds the greater Haifa area to the west, the Misgav bloc to the north, Tiberias and the Lower Galilee to the east, and Ta'anach-Afula to the south. The region's natural geographic boundaries incorporate Arab population centers not included in the development program.

The precipitous Nazareth mountains are cut off sharply by the Beit Netofa Valley to the north and the Jezreel Valley to the south. Consequently, most major roads connecting Haifa with the eastern Galilee circumvent the Nazareth Illit area, contributing to its geographic isolation. Haifa serves as the Central Galilee's primary employment and commercial center, with Tel Aviv of secondary importance. Jerusalem is a supplementary center.

The region is composed of diverse populations, with differing needs, bonded to distinct service centers, making it a complex area for formulating development strategy.
