Migdal Haemek
Description
Migdal Haemek, established in 1953, lies at the foot of the mountains of the Lower Galilee and Jezreel Valleys. Its municipal jurisdiction covers 2,000 acres at 280 meters above sea level. The town is near the main highways of the north and the south, and is close to Haifa Bay and the Jordan Valley.

In recent years, Migdal Haemek has led the country in the development of high technology, becoming an "Israeli Silicon Valley".

Population
Migdal Haemek can serve as an example for the absorption of immigrants. Since 1989, the population has grown from 20,000 to 25,000, primarily as a result of immigration from Ethiopia and the former Soviet Union.
