During their 10 day visit to Israel, 27 Detroiters visited the Michigan Partnership 2000 Region of the Central Galilee. During their one day stay in the Region, participants met with Sigal Hobei, Educator for the TENAH Program (Ethiopian Health Education Program) and observed a dental hygiene lesson. A portion of new gifts to the Allied Jewish Campaign (Young Adult Division ) is used to fund the TENAH program in the Region. The participants also visited a community center to mingle with Ethiopian senior citizens.
For enjoyment and relaxation, the singles enjoyed a visit to Kfar Kedem and Zippori; At Kfar Kedem, each participant received an Intemational Donkey Driving License. The singles were overwhelmed by Zippori's surrounding beauty and fascinating archaeological sites.
