Or Hadash Youth Mission to Boston Area Reform Jewry
By by Rabbi Dr. Edgar Nof

Group Aliya for the Second Or Hadash Youth Mission to Boston on the Shabbat Before the Trip
I recently returned from another one of the greatest experiences in my life as a congregational Rabbi. I again traveled to the other side of the world to meet with our friends, the clergy, lay leaders and members of our four sister congregations in the Boston area. My experience in Boston was so meaningful and moving that mere words cannot describe how touched I was to pray and travel with our American brothers and sisters.

In the last 14 months, I have led a total of three youth missions (50 teens, altogether) to the United States. I have led two youth missions to Boston, and a third one to the Philadelphia and Washington DC areas.

The way in which my 19 teens, my helper, Ariella Appel, and I were hosted was again beyond all expectations. It was not only warm and kind - it was pure LOVE. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the wonderful people, Rabbis, Lay Leaders, employees, activists, congregants and youth in the various Boston-area congregations who gave of their time and energy to make this visit such a success. They are all true friends of Congregation Or Hadash, and personal friends of mine as well:
