The Young Partners Group 2 (G2) has had an adventure filled week travelling to a world-famous amusement park and to Niagara Falls. This was just the tip of the iceberg as G2 also volunteered at the JCC Summer Camps and concluded their year-long social action project with the Teen Tsiburim.
Included in this week of activities was a party held to honor G2 as they concluded their Young Partners experience. The party was hosted by the JCC and P2K Steering Committee.
Simultaneously, on the other side of the world, the Young Partners Group 3 (G3) were experiencing the joys of Israel. Last week they travelled around the country, this week they built bonds in Kfar Saba and next week they are going to have the Gadna experience (Israel Defense Forces training).
In Kfar Saba, all of the G3 participants were certified in Israel for CPR and first-aid and took part in an archeological dig in Kfar Saba. During the dig, many of the Young Partners found handles and remnants of ancient pottery. Included in this week's activities, G3 went to visit a school for children with special needs, where the Young Partners joined the students in making music and art, before they all swam together.
"G2, at the end of the journey, and G3, at the beginning, are gaining life lessons and building relationships that can only be learned in the classrooms of the world," stated Community Shaliach Avi Kagan.
