However, the term "hinuch" cannot be used in reference to an artisan who starts a job, if he is already well versed in the trade. The term "hinuch" similarly is not applicable when starting to build a house. Rather, "hinuch" may by employed in reference to someone who is learning a trade, and in reference to the actual usage of a house which has just been built. This leads us to a better understanding of Rashi's emphasis above on "beginning… will engage", which relates "hinuch" not to the object or trade - rather to the training which the person has acquired to perform the job, or to the stage where the house and other objects have been prepared for their ultimate use. "Hinuch", then, translates the ingrained potential into action, as the trained person starts working in his profession, or the house starts to serve the purpose for which it was built.
